# Gemini

Use Remiq with Gemini models, from your own server or from the Gemini CLI.

## From your server (Gemini API)

Call Remiq before each Gemini call, as in the [Quickstart](/docs/quickstart/):

1. `POST /v1/context` with the user's space and the latest message (or the recent turns).
2. Put `instructions` in Gemini's system instruction and `context` in the user turn.
3. Save the user's message with `POST /v1/memories`.

The same works for any model: Remiq only returns text for your prompt.

## From the Gemini CLI (MCP)

Add the server to the CLI's `settings.json` under `mcpServers`, with your MCP address from the Console → **Agents**:

```
{ "mcpServers": { "remiq": { "httpUrl": "https://<your Remiq address>/mcp" } } }
```

Sign in when the CLI asks: a Remiq page asks for an API key and the memory space to use.

## Good to know

- Menus and settings move. If a step here has changed, follow the Gemini CLI's own help for MCP servers: the address and the sign-in stay the same.
